1. Bought and decorated our perfect Christmas tree!
We love going to the you-cut farms and walking through the rows and rows of Christmas trees until we find the perfect one to cut down and take home with us. This year was even more fun, because we went to a farm out in Duvall (where people apparantly are a little more dog friendly than Redmond) and Porter got to come and run around the Christmas tree farm with us while we picked it out. We came home with a beautiful 9-foot tall (I'm not sure if it's actually 9 feet tall - could be like 8ish, but it is HUGE) Grand Fir (or maybe Noble? haha).
2. Played in the snow...a lot!
Here in Redmond, we have about 6-10 inches of snow and Porter LOVES it. I am so glad we have a 4-wheel drive vehicle because yesterday we were able to make it down our hill, past all the stranded buses, jack-knifed trucks, abandoned cars and the closed 520-West Lake Sammamish freeway entrance to Marymoor Dog Park - Porter's favorite place on Earth (even though the roads were too bad and I couldn't make it into work hehe). We had so much fun running around the park and were surprised to see many other dogs there (with their people) who made it to the park in the storm.
3. Went to Cort and Phil's house to decorate cookies and build a gingerbread house with the kids.
Audrey got all dressed up to play in the snow, and this year I think she actually liked it! As always, she looked adorable and even had pink kitty snow boots to top off the outfit. She loved decorating the gingerbread house with Uncle Zach - maybe almost as much as she loved eating the M&Ms!
