married my best friend when i was 20 (gasp!), graduated from college, found "real" employment, adopted an adorable and extremely well behaved black lab, made the sweetest and cutest little baby boy who has ever lived, bought a house in a tiny little town where our main focus is loving each other (and trying to plant a vegetable garden). not a day goes by that i don't think about how blessed i am.

About Porter
We adopted Porter in April 2008 from a breeder in Lynnwood. He's an English lab and came from a line of hunters and service dogs, so he's very smart and picks up new tricks easily. Porter is a bundle of energy, but knows when it's time to be quiet and chill out also. He loves to swim and play at the park, but loves even more to hang out with me and Zach doing just about anything.
So far I think: Just started it...too soon to tell.

Review: I really liked this book, but didn't love it as much as I thought I would. I loved that it took place in Seattle and revealed a part of WWII that you rarely read about. That said, it took me about 100 pages to get to the point where I wanted to continue reading it. Overall, I enjoyed reading the book, but it didn't engage me as much as I wanted it to.
Review: I read this book in about 2 days while in Hawaii. It's a quick read, but very raw and emotional. Told from a male perspective, this is a story of love, heartache, loss, self discovery and most of all, family. Although it's probably not for everyone - therefore, I won't add it to the "must read" list, I really enjoyed it and would read it again.
Review: I absolutely love this book. The heartwrenching story of a family narrated by the family dog. It had me literally laughing out loud at some parts and crying the next. An absolute must read - especially if you're a dog lover.
Books You Should Read...
probably my all-time favorite book. i've read it many times and everytime i love it more. a story of a man trying to find his place in life by finding out where he came from. amazingly written...i wish wally lamb wrote more books.
a classic. as always, the book is better than the movie - and I LOVE the movie!
written by augusten burroughs brother - which is why i read it in the first place. the story of his life with asperger's syndrome - interesting and fun. easy to read. recommended to anyone who loves augusten burroughs or is interested in the autism spectrum.
i liked this book more than it's counterpart - the kite runner. i love books about other cultures and his books are so well written.
i didn't think i would like this book...but i did. so much so that i even read the sequel - a world without end. the characters are so real and really draw you into the story.
